Udayapur: An owner of a manpower agency swindled youth two million rupees before fleeing.
Sher Bahadur Tamang, owner of Haven Overseas, collected Rs. 2,000,000 from youths of Khotang and Udayapur districts luring them lucrative jobs in Gulf countries. “Later he escaped all of a sudden,” said Lok Bahadur Tamang, a victim.
Lok Bahadur said the deceiver manpower agent opening a branch office in Gaighat collected from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 300,000 from each youth.
“He promised me and Hari Bahadur Tamang of high-paying jobs in Iraq and charged us Rs. 700,000.”
He has also collected Rs. 200,000 each from Dinnath Chaudhary, Jitendra Bot and Krishna Bot luring them of jobs in Dubai.
Following the escape of Sher Bahadur, the victims have been running from pillar to post with the money receipts in search of him.
