DAMAK: Foreign employment entrepreneurs closed their firms in Jhapa on Thursday to protest the arrest of a foreign job agent.
Police had arrested a foreign job agent of Support Manpower Agency in Birtamod on the charge of leaving over a dozen youths in the lurch in Libya where they were taken with promises of lucrative jobs. The entrepreneurs said they have been feeling insecure and demanded that their colleague be released.
There are 83 different manpower agencies operating their services in Jhapa.
