There has been lots of confusion regarding Free Visa Free Ticket Rules for Nepalese. Previously, according to the agreement in between Nepal Government and Qatar, Nepalese workers who wish to go to work in Qatar did not have to pay anything. However, in 2010, Nepal Government determined that Nepalese people have to pay NPR 70,000 for Gulf countries and NPR 80,000 for Malaysia.
Again in June of 2015, Nepal Government came up with Free Visa Free Ticket policy.
With this latest policy, Nepal Government determined that the cost of visa and air ticket would be bear upon by employer. However, if employer refuses to pay, then, in such condition, Manpower Agency can charge the fee from worker. Additionally, the candidate has to pay for medical check-up, insurance and orientation training.
Free Visa policy of Nepal is applicable for only seven countries which are Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Malaysia. Statistically, these 7 countries are the destinations in which maximum number of Nepalese migrate for work.
Free Visa Free Ticket policy was announced by Nepal Government on 9th June 2015 and it was stated that the policy will be effective from 6th July 2015 onwards.
